This stone is cut from a larger stone found during an excavation of property adjacent to the Nauvoo Temple site in the spring of 1998. The stone is believed to be a window sill from the original Nauvoo Temple. It is consistent with the size, shape and color of known window sill stones. It is of the same limestone used during the construction of the original temple, is not native to the property, and bears the tool markings unique to the European craftsman of the period who carved the stone for the temple.
Each stone is displayed in a beautiful velvet lined, solid wood case, laser engraved with the image of the Nauvoo Temple.

It is a great gift, conversation piece or collectors item.
